Definitions

At DustBlasters Ltd (“the Company”, “We”, “Us”), located at Allia Future Business Centre Peterborough, United Football Club, London Road, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire PE2 8AN, United Kingdom, the following definitions apply throughout these Terms of Business:

  • “Cleaner” or “Cleaning Operative”: The person or firm performing cleaning services on behalf of the Company
  • “Client”: The person, firm, or corporate body (including subsidiary or associated companies as defined by the Companies Act 1985) receiving cleaning services
  • “Client’s Address”: The location where cleaning services are to be performed
  • “Service”: The cleaning services provided on behalf of the Company
  • “Cleaning Visit”: The attendance at the Client’s address by the Cleaner to perform the Service

Unless context demands otherwise, singular terms include plural meanings, and masculine references include feminine ones, and vice versa. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

Contract Formation

These Terms and Conditions constitute a binding contract between DustBlasters and the Client. Both parties shall comply with all statutory regulations and codes of conduct in fulfilling their responsibilities under this agreement.

The Client’s use of our services, including placing orders via telephone (+44 07547 593160), email, fax, or website, indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These terms shall prevail over any other terms of business unless otherwise agreed in writing by a Company director. Any variations must be approved in writing by a Company director.

Service Quotations

We provide detailed quotations based on comprehensive on-site consultations for:

Carpet Cleaning

Charged per square metre, considering fibre types and construction. Our consultation includes:

  • Area measurement
  • Fibre and colour testing
  • Installation assessment
  • Facility and accessibility evaluation

Upholstery Cleaning

Priced per seated area, factoring in:

  • Fabric type
  • Soiling level
  • Estimated cleaning duration

Hard Floor Cleaning

Charged per square metre, with consultation covering:

  • Surface testing
  • Area measurement
  • Installation assessment
  • Access evaluation

Leather Services

  • Cleaning: Priced per seated area
  • Repair and restoration: Quoted based on required time and materials
  • Free consultation and assessment provided

All quotations remain valid for 15 days and may be adjusted if requirements change. Changes exceeding 10% will be discussed prior to work commencement, with a £20.00 cancellation fee applicable if the updated price is declined.

Equipment and Materials

The Company provides all necessary:

  • Cleaning supplies
  • Carpet cleaning equipment
  • Repair materials
  • Cleaning solutions

Clients must provide access to:

  • Running water
  • Electricity

Payment Terms

  • A £20.00 deposit may be required at booking
  • Payment due immediately upon work completion via cash, cheque, or direct credit
  • Alternative payment arrangements must be agreed in writing
  • 30-day payment terms available by arrangement
  • Late payments incur 10% monthly interest
  • £30.00 administrative fee plus solicitors’ fees for collection referrals
  • No reductions or retentions permitted from invoiced amounts
  • Gratuities appreciated but not required

Cancellation Policy

  • 24-hour notice required for cancellation
  • £20.00 fee for cancellations between 2-24 hours notice
  • Full service price charged for:
    • Failed access attempts
    • Cancellations under 2 hours notice
  • Booking changes subject to availability and 24-hour notice

Refund Policy

Refunds are issued only when:

  • Service is cancelled with proper notice (24 hours)
  • Service cannot be performed due to circumstances beyond Client’s control

Complaints Procedure

  • Must be reported within 48 hours of service completion
  • Saturday complaints must be reported by Tuesday 12:00
  • Company must be allowed to re-clean disputed areas before third-party intervention
  • All complaints thoroughly investigated and resolved to reasonable standards

Claims and Liability

  • 48-hour reporting window for valid claims
  • Immediate inspection required upon service completion
  • Company not liable for:
    • Factors beyond control (weather, access issues)
    • Pre-existing damage
    • Poor carpet fitting or installation
    • Damage from premature furniture replacement
    • Third-party inspections without prior notice

  • Free re-cleaning of disputed areas
  • 24-hour complaint notification requirement
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction

Referral Programme

Clients receive a £10.00 credit for referring new customers, applied after payment clearance from the new client.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English and Welsh law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
